Safari Supper 2024 – what a night!

Great Night had by all at 2024 Safari Supper

It was the perfect evening with warm sunshine and fragrant summer air for the return of the popular Safari Supper.

46 villagers came to together to enjoy a sociable evening sharing starter and main course meals at various hosts’ houses. The pudding course at our lovely local pub, The Cherington, capped off a really excellent evening.

Thanks so much to everyone who came along to make this such a successful event. Particular thanks go to the hosts and the pudding providers. We couldn’t have done it without you.

We learnt recently that this is the 25th anniversary of the first safari supper which was held in May 1999. We’d like to take credit for this being the silver anniversary but it’s just good luck!

The best news is that we made £754 for the Hall which is a great effort.

Thanks again …. And hopefully see you all again next year!

There’s still time to join Safari Supper on Saturday 1st June

Last ‘Shout Out’ for anyone still thinking of coming along to this sociable village event!

The village Safari Supper returns on Saturday June 1st at 7pm and is a great way to meet new neighbours or catch up with those you already know – indeed 40 people have already signed up!

We have sufficient hosts so all you need to do is turn up at Jacques Barn, Stourton at 7pm where an aperitif will get you in the mood for the rest of evening! You will then be told where you are going for your starter.

Starter hosts are given the list of where their guests are going for their main course. You will be with entirely different people.

….And finally we all meet up at our wonderful recently re-opened local, The Cherington, for pudding and more chat.

NB Guests are requested to bring their own wine.

It’s excellent value at £20 per head and the money we raise helps to fund our our fabulous Hall and Playing Field.

Please contact Sally sallyclubley@gmail.com or Sue sueeileenmaaz@gmail.com by May 28th stating any dietary requirements.
