CHERI-FEST is here again – 3 Days of Music and Family Fun Next Weekend at The Cherington

Cheri-festivities at our lovely local, The Cherington, from Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd August with proceeds going towards Cotswold Friends

Join Helen and the team for a great weekend of music and fun at The Cherington from this Friday.

The timetable includes:

Friday 21st from 7.00: Free music from the charismatic Pete Watkins (See poster below)

Saturday 22nd: 12.00 – 4.00: Family fun in the garden with games and a bouncy castle
5.30: Tug of War over the river – expect to get wet!

Sunday 23rd: Chilled out music from our talented locals locals in the garden
6.30 Quiz – booking essential £2 pp

There will be also be a raffle with lots of great prizes.

Proceeds will be going to this year’s local charity Cotswold Friends who are based in Moreton-in-Marsh and support vulnerable and older people in the community.

Sport, entertainment, Italian Food and more… the Cherington has something for everyone this summer!

These are some of the events and activities you can look forward to and enjoy at our lovely pub:

  • Spoil Dad on Sunday 21st June with a proper Sunday lunch. Food served 12 – 6. Booking essential.
  • Free live music from Jono Wright and Spesh Mahoney as the Shipston Proms Music Festival arrives at the pub on Monday 22nd June from 7.30
  • Football fans can enjoy all the England Fifa World Cup games in the bar:
    9pm kick offs – bar open until 11:30pm, last orders 11pm.
    10pm kick offs -: bar open until midnight, last orders 11:30pm.
  • Enjoy great Italian food on Thursday nights
  • Cheri-fest from Friday August 21st thru Sunday 23rd provides a fitting end to the season with a weekend packed with family fun and music!

Sport, a Mothers Day Special and a Value Menu at The Cherington

As always our lovely local is putting on events to try to please as many of us as possible with a special event for mother day, deals for rugby fans and a value menu with smaller portions.

  • Sunday 15th March – Special Mothers Day lunch:
    Serving food from 12.00 – 6.00 and all mums get a little gift too. Booking is essential
  • The Prix Fixe Menu – Weekdays 12 – 2.30 and 5.30 – 6.30
    2 or 3 courses of smaller portions and different dishes each week
  • Rugby 6 Nations – see timetable
    Every match from the Rugby Six Nations 2026 will be shown in the Cherington bar.
    Drinks at happy hour prices during England games!
    (and possibly if you bring a crowd for any other home nations…!)

Doggy Fun and Dodgy Jumpers at The Cherington This Christmas!

A charity event for our 4 legged friends and a Bad Jumper Party are part of the Christmas entertainment offering at our lovely local..

Saturday 13th December – Santa Paws supporting Dogs for Good:

  • 10-11.30 coffee available 
  • £5 which goes to Dogs for good charity 
  • Each dog will get a gift !

Friday 19th December – The Cherington Bad Jumper Party from 5pm:

  • ‘Best’ worst jumper wins a prize!
  • Mince pies on the bar all night.

Happy Wolf Pubs are turning FIVE and celebrating on Friday 5th September from 6 – 11pm

Since taking on The Yew Tree in Avon Dassett in mid lockdown, the Happy Wolf Pub Company has gone on to acquire The Peacock at Oxhill in 2022 and finally, and fortuitously for us locals, The Cherington in 2024.

On Friday 5th September there will be celebrations at all 3 sites with nibbles, fizz and live music from 6-11pm – wear your gladrags!
