‘Pride of Place’ Art Exhibition at Jacques Barn, Stourton: May 28 – 31

4 days to go….

A message from Chris Woodcock, owner of Spencer House Gallery:

Many thanks indeed to the Stourton and Cherington folk who have visited my pop-up gallery at Jacques Barn last week, giving us such positive feedback and buying pieces to take home and love – or to give away as gifts.

There are still four days to see new artworks created by regional artists in many media. And Jacques Barn offers a cool refuge from the heat.

IWe’re just along the lane from The Cherington pub (for which we have 20% off vouchers, while stocks last!)

We’re open again from 10am to 5pm today (Thursday) till Sunday (inclusive) and all details are shown here – plus a small selection of unique-to-us available artworks to tempt you.

Thank you

Chris

Church Bell Book Quest and a Special Quarter Peal on 12th May

The Book Quest

A message from Sarah Scotter in an quest to unearth any of these rare little treasures:

These rare little books are very useful to anyone learning to ring church bells.  They were first published in 1982 by a local ringer, Mrs Pam Copson.  They measure 10cm x 15cm, so could be squirrelled away at the back of a drawer, as this was when I found it.  If anyone reading this comes across one in their home and it is no longer needed, please let me know, and I will come and collect it’.
