There is Lots of Festive Fun to be had at The Cherington over this Christmas Period!

For a list of events coming up at our wonderful local pub see below:

  • Tuesday 17th 7.30 – Christmas quiz night.
  • Friday 20th – bad jumper party night – the best ‘worst’ jumper wins a bottle of wine!
  • Sunday 22nd – Lunch with Santa! Father Christmas will be joining us at 12:15 & 3:15. Kids’ roasts will also be reduced to £5!
  • Xmas eve – sparking breakfast 9-11. Complimentary glass of bubbles for those who book!
  • New Years Eve – free night with buffet – doors from 7:30 open mic from 9pm. Bar open till late

Last Farmers’ Market of the Year This Thursday at The Hall

The December Farmers’ Market is at The Hall on Thursday December 5th from 6 – 8pm

Your last chance this year to stock up on all that wonderful food that the regular stall holders bring to our famous Farmers Market at The Hall this Thursday. Sourdough bread, artisan cheese, olives, locally grown veg,honey and gin are all on offer. It’s also a great opportunity to buy some special Christmas gifts and wreaths from the craft stalls.

It’s a Fish and Chips supper from the popular The Catchy Fish. Enjoy them with a drink at our licensed bar at the same time.

Eyes Down for a Fun Christmas Family Prize Bingo Bonanza on Saturday November 30th at 7.00 at The Hall!

There will be a Christmas Family Prize Bingo night on Saturday 30th November at 7pm run by the Stour Health and Wellbeing Partnership (SHWP) at The Hall. This will be a fun evening for all!

The Lobby Bar will be open for drinks and snacks. Tea and coffee will also be available.

Doors open at 7pm
Eyes down at 7:30pm

Christmas Wreath Making Courses at The Hall November 29th, 30th and December 7th

With only 5 weeks to go to Christmas you might be thinking about creating your own festive masterpiece!

Elaine’s Bespoke Flowers are running several Christmas Wreath Making Workshops at The Hall on the following dates:

  • Friday 29th November: 6pm
  • Saturday 30th November: 10am and 1pm
  • Saturday 7th December: 10am

Mini First Aid Class at The Hall Sunday 24th November 10.00 – 12.00

An award-winning Baby & Child First Aid Class which is perfect for expectant parents, parents, grandparents and anyone looking after babies or children, is coming to The Hall on Sunday.

Baby & child first aid is covered up to 18 years old and includes: 

  • CPR
  • Choking
  • Bumps
  • Bleeds
  • Breaks
  • Burns
  • Febrile Seizure
  • Meningitis/Sepsis Awareness and more!

Classes are relaxed, friendly and cost just £30 per person. 

Pre crawling babies are welcome to join you so you don’t have to worry about childcare!

Nativity Service on Tuesday December 24th at 4.00 at St John the Baptist, Cherington

A message from Sarah Scotter event organiser:

‘Do come and enjoy this most special of services. 

I am in the process of contacting parents to assemble our cast for 2024.

However, there are families who have moved into our two villages for whom I don’t have telephone numbers.  If you are one of those, and feel you would like your child/children to take part, please contact me – 07984 892431.

I do have some shepherd and angel costumes.

Having said this, it is lovely if children simply dress up and join in if they’d like to – there is no such thing as too many angels, stars, shepherds, sheep and / or cattle.  

I will look forward to hearing from you.’
