This month’s North Cotswold Farmers Market will be held on Thursday June 1st from 6 – 8pm at The Hall, Pinfold Lane, Stourton.
Supper this month is from Food Genie and all the usual stalls will be there.

A Defibrillator Awareness Session is being run at this month’s Coffee Shop at the Hall on Saturday 20th May from 10.30-12.00.
These are very short free drop in sessions for everyone and demonstrate the defibrillator and how it is used.
The Area Coordinator will also be there to talk to anyone who might be willing to join the village ‘shout’ volunteers – people who are willing to fetch the defibrillator for anyone in need while emergency services are en route. They will also be happy to talk to anyone interested taking in Emergency First Aid Courses to higher levels.

There will be a plant and produce sale in aid of Shipston Home Nursing at The Paddock, Stourton this Saturday and Sunday from 10.00-4.00.
A wide range of plants and will be available.
Any donations of plants and produce welcome.

This year’s Bard’s Rides and Walks, will start and finish at The Hall on Saturday (13th May).


There will be a choice of two cycle Rides:
Cost: £20 for Adults for both rides; £10 for under 18s on the classic ride.
For those who prefer legs to wheels the Bluebell walks will take place between 10am and 11.30am.
There is a choice of 3, 5 or 7-mile walks. (The 7-mile Walk takes you through Cherington, Long Compton and Whichford.)
Cost: £7 for adults; £3 for under 18s. Directions and notes will be provided for the Walks and the churches on the route.
Registration for both can be either online in advance at RiderHQ.com or on the day at the venue.
Delicious refreshments will also be available at the Village Hall and there will be a Raffle.
Pofits go to the Warwickshire and Coventry Historic Churches Trust to save church buildings for future generations. We hope to see you on the 13th!

Please bring your picnic hampers, blankets or table and chairs and let’s have a big celebration for Our Kings Coronation!
There will be tea and coffee available in the hall – please bring your own cups to save washing up!
We will have a re-match of the Tug of War – Stourton v Cherington.

We’re going again on 15th April from 7:30pm.
This is a great night out and a chance to see and hear our friends and neighbours show off their previously hidden musical abilities. The line-up includes semi-professional artistes including the ‘Acafellas’ a Barbershop quartet and the singer song writer ‘Rosy’.
Martin & Linda are currently viral on Youtube with their video version of the well-known ‘10cc’ song. Check out ‘I’m Not in Love – Best Cover Ever’ heading towards a quarter of a million views.
Other players include Piers the pianist, Sam Conisbee our 10 yr old guitarist, ‘Should Know Better’, ‘Porterhouse Blues’, ‘Whiplash’ a four-piece teenage band, a selection of Cheri Jammers and that’s not to mention the Gentleman’s Kazoo Orchestra …. (whoops too late).
