A group of ten local artists and crafters return for their popular annual visit to Jacques Barn, bringing their wide range of handcrafted Christmas gifts.
Along with our regular exhibitors of everything from art and photography to wood, ceramics, jewellery and ironwork we have the first visit of Trilby Jones with his beautiful papier mâché birds.

We have a fantastic selection of stallholders for a thoroughly festive Farmer’s Market, so come along and make the most of this local Christmas shopping opportunity on Thursday 4th December from 6-8pm at The Hall.
Your last chance this year to stock up on all that wonderful food that the regular stall holders bring to our famous Farmers Market at The Hall this Thursday. Artisan cheese, olives, locally grown veg, honey and venison are all on offer.
It’s also a great opportunity to buy some special Christmas gifts and wreaths from the craft stalls.
The popular Catchy Fish will be serving their Fish and Chip Suppers and the Bar will be open. It is a great community social get together.
Sadly if we are unable to recruit more volunteers to help run our lovely market there will be no more markets after December.
If anyone is interested and would like to help run or recreate this valuable community project please contact anniethepatch@yahoo.co.uk.
Stall holders this month include:

Many people will remember Ramsay and Bourneville, the donkeys who grazed happily in their paddock at Jacques House with Eric and Sally Clubley in Stourton.
The eagle-eyed amongst you may have noticed that these 2 iconic animals have appeared in this website’s favicon (the small icon in the corner of the website browser tab).
We now have a dedicated page – see Donkeys in the Village

The markets which run from April to December are completing their 8th successful year! Thank you so much to our lovely stallholders and customers supporting local produce and people. Huge thanks are also due to the team who manage the admin, the media, put out signage, stock the bar, operate the bar, set up and help clear up at the end!
2026 will need a change in order for the market to continue – either in its current or a new format. New folk are needed particularly to help on the day of the market with tasks such as setting up, running the bar and clearing away at the end. Similarly needed are volunteers to put out and retrieve signs around the locality. Anyone who can help in a small way or who would like a chance to run or recreate this valuable and beneficial project is welcome to drop an email to info@thehallevents.org.uk or to anniethepatch@yahoo.co.uk.‘
