Pre-Loved Sale AND Coffee Shop at The Hall this Saturday

Pre-loved and Nearly New clothes Sale at The Hall along with The Coffee Shop on Saturday 13th April from 10.00 -13.00

If you fancy a new addition to you wardrobe, and you want to save some cash and the environment, come along to The Hall on Saturday April 13th.

At the same time you can catch up with friends and neighbours over a bacon sandwich, relaxing cup of coffee and cake.

The Pre-Loved Sale will be featuring quality clothes, shoes and accessories. There will be 20 individual stallholders including:

  • Babies & Children’s
  • Teens
  • Day-to-day wear
  • Labels like Monsoon, Phase Eight, Next, White Stuff
  • Plus Sizes
  • Business & Occasion-wear
  • Accessories & Footwear
  • Vintage finds ……

This event will also be helping to raise vital funds for Save the Children, as well as The Hall & Playground.

Pop Up Pub at Trish and Tony’s Friday April 12th from 6pm

This month’s locally hosted pop up pub will be kindly provided by Trish and Tony at Evenly Cottage, 1 The Close, Cherington on Friday April 12th from 6pm.

This may be the last such pop up pub before the opening of The Cherington! 🤞

First Farmers’ Market of the Year This Thursday

Farmers’ Market 2024 Returns to The Hall on Thursday April 4th at 18.00

Our popular North Cotswold Farmers’ Market is set to return to The Hall on Thursday April 6th from 6 – 8pm.

See below for some of this month’s stall holders – we have some new names amongst our regulars for you to visit.

If you fancy a Fish and Chip Supper then you are in luck as the excellent The Catchy Fish will be providing supper! Eat in or take away.

Why not catch up with friends at our licensed the bar at the same time.

Stall holders include:

  • Hooked by Sophie, a new member with her luxury and handmade crochet and knitwear
  • Mediterranean olives, Turkish delights and dry fruits etc from olivesz2
  • The local Granary Oil Company supplying rapeseed and walnut oil
  • Team tea and their great range of ethically sourced and sustainable packaged teas
  • Homemade in Oxfordshire with their amazing preserves
  • Penny Varley Ceramics with her artisan ceramics
  • Crudges Cheese with their handmade cheeses from family run dairies

Another Shout Out for Volunteers at The Hall Saturday April 6th

The Bonfire in the playing field due for relocation

Volunteers Required

If you can you spare a morning to help the Aspirational Plan Working Party with Hedgerow Maintenance and Bonfire Building please come along to The Hall at 10 am on Saturday April 6th.

Work likely to be involved:

  • Thinning out of the hedgerows between the Hall and the playground
  • Relocating and lighting of a bonfire (depending on the wind conditions!)

Useful tools to bring along include spades, loppers, secateurs, brooms and rakes.

Youth Choral Reunion Performance 7.30 March 30th at The Hall – Reminder

An Easter Gift!

A Free Concert Celebrating Choral Music at The Hall on Saturday March 30th at 7.30

As part of a Stourton based reunion event, two dozen young people, mostly in their early and mid twenties, are offering a free concert of sumptuous, beautiful, tingly choral music at The Hall.

They have previously performed at many and varied venues including the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and St Paul’s Cathedral. 

The concert will feature music by Bach, Handel, Haydn, Liszt, Vaughan Williams and Whitacre.

Older, younger and everyone in between will thoroughly enjoy their music and be welcome.  

Bar available throughout for refreshments.

Free Entry.

Donations to the International Disaster Relief Charity, Shelterbox gratefully received.

Easter Dance Workshops for the Kids at The hall

Atomic Dance, who run a variety of dance classes for children of all ages at The Hall, are running 2 workshops during the Easter Holidays on Wednesday 27th March and Wednesday 3rd April. See below for details.

Wednesday 27th March from 9am to 3pm: “Heroes & Villains”

This class, aimed at 5 – 12 year olds, is being run in conjunction with Carousel Performing Arts to create a fun day of dance & performance.

Wednesday 3rd April from 9am to 3pm: Acro & Dance Workshop

A great opportunity to try out some of the fab regular classes that Atomic Dance offer at The Hall during term-time!

Save the Date – the Safari Supper returns on Saturday 1st June

The Safari Supper is returning. It’s a great way to meet new neighbours or catch up with those you already know.

Volunteers will host a starter or main course for any number from 6 upwards. The evening starts with everyone meeting for a drink, where you will be told where you are going for your starter.

Starter hosts are given the list of where their guests are going for their main course. You will be with entirely different people.

And finally we all meet up again for pudding and more chat.
